Voicing is the process of adjusting the surface and density of the felts covering the hammers striking the string to produce a warmer, richer tone. Resurfacing involves reshaping the hammers with the use of filing techniques. This removes the grooves worn into the hammers and reveals the plush, untouched felt resulting in a more desirable resonance from the instrument. -Needling techniques are used to further contour the tone and sustain of your piano through its entire dynamic range.
